Growing up, I hated writing anything. I remember one time in middle school I got assigned my first essay and I cried for a whole day. Apparently, writing about Martin Luther King Jr’s dream was a very hard assignment in my 13 year old mind. Now, I can not imagine myself without a journal and a pen in my bag at all times.
My name is Lauren Patrick and I was born in Boca Raton, Florida of May 1st, 2000. Ever since then, I have moved around different states and cities and have lived in more houses than I can even remember. Having to be the “new girl” numerous times, I got use to being more independent than everyone else around me and that is where my passion for writing blossomed. At age 17, I published a poetry book on amazon titled, “Salt vs Sugar.” Although I made a lot of sells, it didn’t seem like enough. Like every writer ever, I wanted my writing to be more noticed. That is when I came up with the idea to start blogging. Now that you know a little bit about the girl behind the screen, I am going to dive in about what my readers should expect during this journey.
My weekly blogs are going to include crazy life experiences, emotional challenges, different people’s opinions, open minded stories, a little bit of personal advice, and much more. I want to know about my readers, never hesitate to leave a comment. Now that this boring, but very necessary, introduction blog is over with. A blog will be up this Friday, March 22.
